What would the world look like if Solar Flares had struck it and a mysterious disease called the Flare was infecting the Earth? This is exactly the world that Mark now lives in. Along with Alec, a military guru, Trina, his best friend, and a few others, Mark tries to survive his new world and the Flare. When the Flare suddenly gets into the heads of his friends and drives them insane to the point of death, they know that it is very dangerous. With just a breath of the same air or a gentle touch of an infected person you can contract the Flare. One other thing, the Flare is somehow being spread by people in Bergs, much like a hovercraft, who shoot random people with blow darts containing the Flare. So far the book is a bit slower than the previous books in the series,
but i feel like it will pick up soon.

The Longest Ride
"The Longest Ride" by Nicholas Sparks is an amazing book. I would read that book 100 times if I could. Luke was a big time bull rider he was on top of the world until he got injured in the head. A college student Sophia works so hard for school. She is going to New York City for an internship that mean the world to her. She has been in love with art every since she has been a little girl, this internship is huge for her and can help her go all the way with art. One night her seniority sisters asked her to come to a rodeo with them. After trying to convince Sophia she finally said yes. At the rodeo she meets Luke. through out the weeks they begin to hang out they become very close. After on date they were driving hope and saw a Car off the road. The old man Ira rolled off the road and crashed in to a tree. Once they get to the hospital Sophia reads letters that Ira had wrote to his wife Ruth many years ago. Ira and Ruth and Sophia and Luke both have the same life. They were both madly in love but have to get over a problem. Luke needs to stop bull riding or he could die. Ira was in war and had to not die. Ira and his wife loved art they had over millions of dollars worth of art hanging in their house. Once Ira had passed away they had an auction for his art work. The first painting was a picture of Ruth. Nobody wanted it for $600 Luke had bought the picture after signing the papers for the piece of art there was lots of chat in the other room. Turns out Luke got all the pictures with the one painting. Ira left a note saying this picture is priceless so with that he got all of the painting. At the end of the story Luke pays off the ranch he has been living in with his mom and him and Sophia open a museum in honor of Ira and Ruth. I really enjoyed reading this book and I recommend reading! click here if you would like to view the trailer

Auracle by Gina Rosati
Anna Rogan has a secret which she has only shared with her best friend, Rei. Anna can astrally project out of her body. She can go to different places in the world and universe. She can also see people's aura. "My physical eyes are like sunglasses, filtering out the colors, but when I'm out here, the aura that emanates from every living thing is clearly visible to me. People, animals, and even plants are surrounded by this transparent bubble of color. Over the years, I've learned that the colors can tell you quite a bit about a person. Like right now, Rei is surrounded by this lemonade yellow, which looks nice, but it's the same shade of yellow my mom has when she's sold a house to someone and the loan falls through. Sigh." (Auracle by Gina Rosati)
While her spirit is traveling different places, she witnesses the death of a girl from her school, and she sees one of her friends standing there. Her innocent friend is falsely accused for murder.
When Anna goes back to where she left her body, she realizes she can't find it. The spirit of Taylor Gleason (the girl from Anna's school who was killed) took Anna's body. Anna is unable to go back into her body. She has to get back into her own body before Taylor ruins her life or someone else's.
Once she understands that she cannot do this alone, she turns to her best friend, Rei, for help. "To me, faith is about trusting my instinct when logic tells me I'm an idiot." (Auracle by Gina Rosati) Even though Rei told her not to astrally project, because he thought she might not come back, she did. She had to face the consequences, which were not being able to get back into her own body.
Eventually, Rei and Anna find a way to get her classmate, Taylor, out of her body.

Models For Week of April 13th Entry
Hi class! Remember that this week you are working off your reading self-reflection and adding a link. The amazing blogger at ReadingRants is excellent at adding links and writing super awesome entries about books she's read.
Check out her entry for the book Ms. Marvel: No Normal by G. Willow Wilson and Adrian Alphona by clicking here. Remember, your purpose is to see how she includes links in her entries.
The second entry I want you to read deals with Gayle Forman's book I Was Here. As you read, pay attention to how she uses a quotation from the novel she's writing about in her review. Don't forget to see how the links here are a bit different than the ones in her other entry. Check it out.
