After Ira (age 92) gets into a car accident heading to where him and his late wife honey mooned, he is reflected back on all the memories him and Ruth shared. (Four months earlier) Brain, a professional bull rider, and Sophia, a college student studying art history, meet at a bull riding event that Sophia's best friend dragged her to.
