Heat By Mike Lupica
In the book Heat by Mike Lupica, In the beginning there was a 16 year teenage thief named Ramon. Ramon was the smartest 16 year old in the south Bronx. Although he was the smartest he wasn't in school, he treated school as a hobby. Ramon was not the laziest but he was still lazy. Ramon hated the idea of work more than school so he preferred to occasionally get his spending money by stealing peoples purses and handbags. Ramon was really fast that no police man could catch him. Ramon felt a sharp pain in the back of his head and that moment he fell down as if someone tackled him. This is where it all starts, a skinny, long boy named Michael Arroyo. He has a arm that throws a fast ball like no other kid his age. Michael's papi wanted Michael to get to the Little League World Series so bad more then Michael even wanted. His brother Carlos had to his night job, he lied about his age so he could work, they were living alone at the moment so he need to get a jobs. He was recently orphaned as his father died shortly after their arrival to America. He was left to survive with just an 17 year old brother here in America illegally. His pitching is so amazing it hard to go unnoticed.
