Crank

Kristina Wager is a good high school student. She's a seventeen year old who gets straight A's and has a lot of friends. Her parents are divorced and her mom has remarried. Her dad moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico so she decides to go visit him for three weeks during her summer vacation. While she was there she finds out that her dad has gotten back into his old habits and is not the man she was hoping to see when she got there. She is stunned to see where he lives. A small apartment complex with roaches all over the kitchen. While she was exploring more of the apartment complex she meets a boy named Adam, but everybody calls him Buddy, and falls for him immediately. Her dad works at a bowling alley and one night she decides to go to work with him since Adam will be there. Shortly after her arrival she finds out that people don't actually bowl. They get high off of cocaine (www.methproject.org/) and flirt with each other. When Adam invites Kristina to get high with him she says yes and gets hooked on to it immediately. After she comes home from New Mexico everything is different. She doesn't have an appetite anymore and she can never sleep at night until she crashes. Once she crashes her brain instantly tells her that she wants more and she will do anything to get it. At her stepdad's family get together she meets as guy named Chase and another one named Brendan and forgets all about Adam. Her and Chase get high together and a few days later so does she and Brendan and she does some things that she never thought she would do. Her actions result in her getting pregnant but instead of Chase being the father it's Brendan who wants nothing to do with the baby. Kristina was going to get an abortion but instead she decides to have the baby and raise it herself with the help of her parents. In the end the baby is healthy and happy and Kristina is working on getting rid of her addiction. (If you are addicted or know someone who is abusing drugs go the this website to get help http://www.newportacademy.com also talk to a parent of guardian and make sure that they have your support).
