Throughout each year, there are many things that stick with you and many things you forget over time. In 2014, I discovered an amazing book that will stick with me forever. The Fault In Our Stars is an outstanding book, and I highly recommend everyone reads it at least one time in their life.
Hazel Grace Lancaster is a seventeen year old who has to struggle living with thyroid cancer that spread to her lungs. In order to breathe, she has to walk around with a portable oxygen tank. Her mother forced her into attending a support group, where she will be with other people just like her. When she went to one of the meeting, she lays eyes on a boy who has also dealt with cancer, but is cured because he got his leg cut off. His name is Augustus Waters and throughout the meeting, they could not stop looking and smiling at each other. Augustus invited her to his house after the meeting, and they started to tell each other about them selves. Throughout the book, Augustus and Hazel's friendship grew stronger and stronger.
What I liked most about The Fault In Our Stars is that no matter what, Augustus always makes Hazel feel so special and so happy and he wants her to pursue all of her dreams. For example, when Hazel wanted to meet the author of her favorite book, An Imperial Affliction, Augustus used his only wish from the cancer foundation to grant Hazel's wish and not his own. His purpose was to be a hero, and make Hazel happy and feel like she is the greatest girl in the world.
What I will remember about this book is that no matter what you look like, what issues or sicknesses you have, there will always be those people who make you happy and feel so much better than you feel about yourself. Augustus made Hazel feel beautiful, something she didn't usually think about herself.

Well done Bella! I thought you did a great job on describing this book. You wonderfully exhibited the emotion that is portrayed. I certainly agree that Hazel and Augustus's relationship is the best part about this novel. I recommend that you read more John Green books like Looking For Alaska, which I am reading right now, and Paper Towns. All of his books are outstanding. Great entry!
