Rangers Apprentice by John A. Flanagan

In the book Rangers Apprentice is about in a medieval time period there were these people that were trained to become a Ranger(were like the police or part of the army). The Rangers were trained and put into different fiefs(other kingdoms) to protect the people that live in that fief. Also the only people hat were allowed to be trained were men no girls were allowed.

I choose this book because the cover caught my eye and I read the back of the first book and I really liked it. My brother recommended it to me but I didn't want to read it until I actually read the back cover and the first couple pages. My brother recommended the book to me because it was about the medieval time period and because it was also an action and adventure books.

A connection that I can see in the book is that the ranger Will has not seen his friend in years and now he has to train his best friends daughter to become a ranger. The ranger corps doesn't allow girls to become a ranger but she was an exception. This can relate to the real world because some people don't get to see their friends, but they end up seeing their children instead of seeing their friend.
