Where She Went

Where She Went is the sequel to the popular book If I Stay. Where She Went was written from the perspective of Adam Wilde, Mia Hall's former boyfriend. At the end of If I Stay, Mia choses to live, which we find out in Where She Went. This wonderful novel tells us Adam's story, how it felt to be left behind by the girl he loved, and the beautiful story of their reunion. As they get to know about what actually happened and why it happened, they slowly begin to fall back in love.
I never planned on reading this book; in fact I didn't know that it existed. I read If I Stay first because I heard good things about the book and movie. I really enjoyed the book. I saw my friends reading Where She Went and they told me it was the book after If I Stay. I knew I had to read it!
I think that the song "Still Into You" by Paramore is a great representation of this book. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OblL026SvD4 This song strongly connects with the book because they both tell a story about a relationship where they were together for a long time, but then they were also apart for a long time. When they met up "after all this time", they are still in love with each other. And even though they fight sometimes, they continue to love each other, much in comparison to Mia and Adam's relationship. The song says, "I should be over all the butterflies But I'm into you And baby even on our worst nights I'm into you." In the relationship between Mia and Adam, they were together for quite some time, but then Mia's accident occurred and when she healed she left him behind, moving to the other coast. This leaves Adam confused and lonely. When he goes to New York, he sees Mia perform in a cello concert and the spark of their reformed relationship has begun. When they were talking to each other, they have some rough patches, but it brings them closer to love. This relates to a part in the song where the sing, "It's not a walk in the park To love each other But when our fingers interlock, Can't deny, can't deny you're worth it 'Cause after all this time I'm still into you." This song is a very good representation of Adam and Mia's reunion.
