The Longest Ride - Nicholas Sparks

I am currently reading the book The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks. I chose to read this book because I heard the movie is coming out next year and really wanted to read the book before I saw the movie. This book is about an old man who drove off the rode and can not move. He is having flash backs to when him and his late wife first met. I made a connection from the song "Everything Has Changed" by Taylor Swift. The song is about someone meeting someone for the first time and knowing that they are going to be in love. This reminded me as to when Ruth, the wife, first came into Ira's shop when they were sixteen years old. Ira immediately knew he was going to fall in love with her. The lyrics "because all I know is we said hello, and your eyes look like coming home all I know is a simple name and everything has changed." This made me think of when they first met and Ira knew that this connection they had was going to be something big and nothing was going to be normal anymore.
